Grade 6 – 8 Laptop Program

Grade 6 to 8 students are required to use laptops to aid their learning. Students must have their own laptop to participate fully in the program (Windows PC or MacOS).

Spec requirements if parents want to source their own device:

  • Windows 10/11 or MacOS Catalina or newer
  • Minimum 8GB of RAM
  • Minimum 256GB of Storage

No chromebooks or iPads – for high school students, they will not be able to complete any standardized testing with a Chromebook or iPad and IT cannot guarantee a spare laptop to assist with that. For elementary students, the Chromebooks and iPads don’t allow for students to complete assignments or projects in the format the teachers need them too.

Town Centre Private Schools provides all students with the following subscriptions:

  • Microsoft 365 subscription
  • Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Canva Premium

Parents are encouraged to take advantage of our exclusive pricing on our TCPS laptop bundles from DELL or secure their own devices. Please see the attached flyers below and contact our school’s IT department at tech@tcmps.com to place your order. Devices and accessories will be shipped to your home and supported by the IT Department.
