The grade 8 students participated in their graduation ceremony on the morning of June 21st. It was a wonderful occasion for them to come together and celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of this year’s graduating class. As each of the 45 graduates was summoned on stage to receive their diploma, the crowd erupted with applause from proud parents, staff and fellow students. In addition to the formal graduation ceremony, students who earned special awards were also presented with their individual medals in the following areas: highest mark in each subject area, honour roll (80% average or higher), principal’s list (90% average or higher), the Canada-wide Mathematica Contest’s top ranking students, STEM Fair and Ted Talk winners. The speech from this year’s Valedictorian, Isha, was heartfelt and helped make the 2022 graduation a truly memorable day for everyone in attendance.
Following the graduation ceremony students, dressed in formal attire, and staff travelled by bus to the Crystal Fountain Banquet Hall for a special afternoon luncheon and dance. It was a great way to celebrate graduating with their friends.
As our grade 8 students bid farewell to elementary school and look forward to their next step of their educational journey starting in September at TCPS high school.
