For more than 15 years, Dove has been helping parents, mentors, teachers and youth leaders deliver self-esteem education that’s reached more than 60 million young people so far. The Dove Self-Esteem Project was created from a vision where beauty is a source of confidence, not anxiety. The True to Me Club’s mission is to ensure that the next generation grows up enjoying a positive relationship with the way they look – helping young people raise their self-esteem and realize their full potential.
The True to Me: Youth Club, led by Student Life Coordinator Ms. Nicholson, is a 5-week program focusing on confidence building activities, discussing the appearance ideal, learning from one another and understanding other people’s points of view. Our grade 8-139 had a great experience with the club this past fall and we look forward to starting the program with the grade 8-138 class this spring.
