Our IB Learner Profile Trait for the month of February was “Caring.” What better way to express love and caring than Valentine’s Day! Our remote Grade 3 students wrote wonderful Valentine’s cards and letters to the shut-in seniors at Central Place Retirement Community in Owen Sound. The children really took to heart the plight of the seniors and they were determined to make them happy by sending the residents pictures, letters about themselves and their interests, and even jokes! As one of the kids said: “They cannot go anywhere and they are shut in, so we have to make them happy!” We think they succeeded!
