HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) is a well-known organization that focuses on health-related topics and provides opportunities to High School students to compete in Canada’s largest health science competition. Topics include behavioural health, medical terminology, veterinary science, forensic science and more. Through this organization, students have the opportunity to explore the field of health science, develop relevant skills, collaborate with peers and get involved within their school.
The TCPS HOSA club recently finished their long journey that started last September. Members successfully participated virtually in the Fall Leadership Conference, followed by two rounds at the Spring Leadership Conference. TCPS students Noya K., Faizan N., Natasha N., Alice Q. and Jolene U. advanced to compete in the second round.
Faizan N., Natasha N. and Jolene U. ranked 4th in the Public Health event and they have been invited to compete in the International Leadership Conference in Nashville at the end of June. Congratulations!
