Between February 22nd to February 25th our Pre-School students participated in our annual Montessori Education Week. The Montessori method of Education which has remained for 115 years is a clear testimony of this great method of education that has spread worldwide. Annually at a global level, Montessori Education Week is celebrated to honour Dr. Maria Montessori, her life and work!
During this week, the students were engaged in various Montessori worksheets and crafts and were proud to take their work home to show their parents! Our bulletin board at the front of the school also showcased the subject areas in a Montessori classroom: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics and Culture.
This method of education encourages independence, curiosity and builds resilience helping students overcome challenging situations that they encounter in the ever-changing world around them.
