Each year, September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation across Canada. Both this day and Orange Shirt Day take place on September 30th. Orange Shirt Day is a commemorative event dedicated to raising awareness of the individual, family, and community-level intergenerational impacts caused by residential schools on Canada’s Indigenous population.
