March is “Expanding Girls’ Horizons in Science and Engineering Month”. STRIVE held a special workshop on March 31st for girls thinking about pursuing a career in STEM. The workshop consisted of a presentation, career opportunities, guest speakers and STEM related activities. The guest speakers are in university studying in the fields of Cognitive Neuroscience, Health Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Life Science and Pharmacy. Three of the five guest speakers are also Town Centre alumnae. The program was offered to TCPS students free of charge with the goal of empowering and encouraging more young women to pursue a career in STEM!
