Markham Stouffville Hospital

For the 16th consecutive year, the TCPS Elementary Student Activity Council, along with Elementary Vice-Principal Mrs. Bowerbank and Administrative Assistant Ms. Samborski, graciously presented Ms. Atkinson, Child Life Specialist of the Markham Stouffville Hospital Children’s Ward, with 10 large bags full of toys and a cheque for $805.00 which will help to purchase hospital equipment. The funds were raised through the sale of friendship bracelets during Bullying Prevention Week.  The toys will be distributed to various departments within the hospital, including the Children’s Chemo Unit where young patients and their families appreciate the toys and games, especially at this time of the year.  For several years the students, parents, and staff at TCPS have enthusiastically participated in our Christmas Toy Drive.
