It was with great excitement that TCPS was able to resume our annual Leadership Experience this year!
In mid-October, the grade 9, 10 and 11 classes travelled to Camp Wanakita Leadership Centre in the Haliburton Highlands for a three-day outdoor adventure. This trip, which is a component of Town Centre Private High School’s Physical Education program, gave students the opportunity to get to know each other while having new and exciting outdoor experiences. High ropes course, archery, climbing wall, fire building activity, survival games, night hikes and a variety of leadership activities encouraged students to step outside their comfort zones and enjoy time with their peers.
This trip has become a Town Centre tradition dating back several years. It has been extremely successful in the past, while enabling students and their teachers the chance to learn, have fun and get to know each other better in a less structured environment.
