On Thursday, September 19th, Town Centre students from STRIVE attended WE Day at the Scotiabank Arena. Each year the WE organization hosts WE Day to inspire thousands of lucky high school students to make a change in their local and global communities. This year, Town Centre students were treated to some spectacular performances and speakers. STRIVE member Caitlyn shares her experience from WE Day 2019.
WE Day was and will always be one of the highlights of this year. The WE Day presenters provided ideas about how we can all be heroes in different areas of our communities such as with the environment or with new innovations. I enjoyed the different speakers and performers such as James Arthur, David Suzuki, Johnny Orlando, Lilly Singh and so many more! I was encouraged by several speakers who came from different walks of life, shared their experiences, and taught us how important our impact on the world is. I will never forget these inspiring people and that I can make a difference.
